1 Leadership Style

My personal motto: “my job is not to do your job, my job is to move obstacles to help you succeed in your job”. I empower my team, avoid micromanagement, and balance responsibilities with individual strengths to ensure collective success.

Rather than trying to make individuals fit into a predefined role, I recognize that each person brings unique value to the team and the company. I believe in balancing seasoned product managers with internal talent who know the product and aspires to be a product manager.

2 Key Product Management Philosophies

I am not a copycat product manager.

Just because a competitor is doing something doesn't mean it is needed in the product. How would innovation happen if we all just implemented the same features? The most important way to determine what the product truly "needs" is to ask the customers. When I talk about customers, I don't just mean external customers; I also mean internal customers (the stakeholders). It is crucial to ask customers what they are trying to accomplish and what goals they are aiming to achieve, not just what features they think should be added.

Roadmaps can change.

Technology is always evolving, and it's essential to pivot to react to current trends. This flexibility is crucial when talking to new customers because I believe in a customer-driven product roadmap. If the roadmap were set in stone, potential customers wouldn't have the opportunity to influence it or address their future needs. The roadmap must adapt and be based on customer needs.
